The Installation „on distance“ (2011)

The “culmination areas” of the puzzling buildings and structures depicted on the wood panels warrant the blank space of the picture plane. The formal and contentual dimension of that which is depicted is defined rather by the blank than by the painted areas – landscape details, created from the reconstruction and analysis of the artist’s own experience Viewing the object from a distance brings forth the past – a certain timespan in life that has elapsed
