José Pozo

The Spain-born artist José Pozo (1971) studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. One central topic of his work is the world of work and performance and consumer society with its diverse and current socio-political issues. Pozo explores the demands of the society on the artist and the industrialization of art through the art market and the art scene in his cycle of works “Made in China“ from 2007 and 2008.
